Alexandra Kehayoglou

Alexandra is an artist of a different caliber. Her use of hundreds of different shades of wool yarn in order to transport a taste of the Argentinian landscape indoors is awe inspiring. Her different collections include pieces that range in size and concept. Some creating immersive experiences with backdrops and interactive elements while others are small tastes of ground. Her pieces are made of scraps from her family carpet factory which aide her in the task of maintaining the diversity of the materials she uses. Everything she does reflects the love she has for her country but also reflects Ottoman styles and techniques of carpet making from her greek heritage. Her work has a truly refreshing quality which brings beautiful pastures and meadows to her audience. You can see more of her work at her website.
